  • 2.5 tbsp celery seeds
  • 5 tbsp mustard seeds
  • 5 x 16oz (500mls) jars

Step-wise Instructions to Canning Jalapenos

Follow the steps to can your jalapenos the right way:

  • As a rule, to begin with, wash the canning jars and lids thoroughly with warm water and soap.
  • Dry the canning jars and lids.
  • Next, slice the jalapenos by making ¼ inch thick cuts. However make sure all the slices are evenly cut.
  • In a glass, steel, or plastic container, mix the pickling lime and ice water.
  • Next, soak the jalapenos in the freezing water.
  • Next, place the container in the refrigerator for around 12-24 hours.
